AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Same lol, waiting for the 9950X3D and then deciding which one to get
It should be relatively close even if AMD/Windows haven't figured out the core parking issues. And for some crazy reason I thought it was out at the end of January but now it turns out to be march time? I sold my 7800x3D as I got the timing wrong.

Agreed.

I think people saw the 5090's and were suddenly not wanting to be CPU bound.
I was CPU bound with my 7800X3D and 4090 in so many games. Couldn't resist nabbing a 9800X3D even if i don't buy a 5090. Lots of AAA and UE5 games are CPU intensive now so it's worthwhile having a strong CPU. It cannot be neglected in the same way it could in the past.

Wait what? It's March? I also thought it was end of Jan too wtf  that kinda changes things as I was hoping to pair it with a 5090 (if I can get my hands on one)

Still. 100 more is buying two pc games
Talking in absolute terms is silly. £100 over MSRP for a 5090 is tiny vs a £450 CPU. It is 20% over MSRP atm which is bonkers for a CPU. I've never known anything like it. Even with the 5900X/5950X Zen 3 backlog, prices didn't rise like this. It is clearly being pushed up by demand and the fact the 7800X3D is still £450 (£120 more than the lowest price btw), which encourages people to bump up to the 9800X3D.

Just curious as if it was faulty that would explain why it didn't work but if its fine its strange that it would not be booting
I received feedback yesterday to confirm it wasn't faulty.

I do wonder now if I didn't leave it long enough for the RAM to train. I left it a good 10 mins but I've since read online it can take up to 20 mins.

I'm curious to hear from people who have successfully installed, roughly how long it took for them?
