Agreed.Don't think those numbers are right tbh.
Think it will also have a surge of interest alongside new Nvidia GPUs. People building new systems for their new shiny shiny.
Don't think it will ever get as low as that until the 1080x3d comes outso, £500 is new low price?
Still going to be CPU bound with the 9800x3d but what choice we got.Agreed.
I think people saw the 5090's and were suddenly not wanting to be CPU bound.
How so? U saying a 9800x3d is not enough to make use of the 5090?Still going to be CPU bound with the 9800x3d but what choice we got.
Oh no it'll still be doing a good job I just meant don't go expecting some bottleneck. Still steamroll your games though. How so? U saying a 9800x3d is not enough to make use of the 5090?
Same lol, waiting for the 9950X3D and then deciding which one to get95% of people who are going to buy one have brought one already. The other 5% now just waiting for the massive price drops and over supply (includes me).
It should be relatively close even if AMD/Windows haven't figured out the core parking issues. And for some crazy reason I thought it was out at the end of January but now it turns out to be march time? I sold my 7800x3D as I got the timing wrong.Same lol, waiting for the 9950X3D and then deciding which one to get
I was CPU bound with my 7800X3D and 4090 in so many games. Couldn't resist nabbing a 9800X3D even if i don't buy a 5090. Lots of AAA and UE5 games are CPU intensive now so it's worthwhile having a strong CPU. It cannot be neglected in the same way it could in the past.Agreed.

Wait what? It's March? I also thought it was end of Jan too wtf that kinda changes things as I was hoping to pair it with a 5090 (if I can get my hands on one)It should be relatively close even if AMD/Windows haven't figured out the core parking issues. Yah someone said here and said it was now in march so I may have to pick up another 9800x3d cpu up.Wait what? It's March? I also thought it was end of Jan too wtf that kinda changes things as I was hoping to pair it with a 5090 (if I can get my hands on one)
Are you sure u was cpu bound? Games are generally gpu boundI was CPU bound with my 7800X3D and 4090 in so many games. Couldn't resist nabbing a 9800X3D even if i don't buy a 5090. You sure that's not because most shops put their prices up by 20%?I note that the rush for 9800X3D's seems to be mostly over. No doubt still selling strongly, but at least there seems to be plenty of stock around.
I mean at retail it came out at what? 480 and it's now 550. That's the price difference of a triple A game. Not sure why people are moaning about the priceYou sure that's not because most shops put their prices up by 20%?
Ryzen 7 9800X3D is selling like hotcakes at major German retailer
If you've been waiting to buy a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, you can now get one at higher asking prices if you live in Germany.www.tomshardware.com
£449I mean at retail it came out at what? 480 and it's now 550. That's the price difference of a triple A game. Not sure why people are moaning about the price
Still. 100 more is buying two pc games£449
Yes, definitely. I have a 4k 240hz monitor, and in some games I crank down the settings/use DLSS to lower the GPU load. It's quite easy to get <85% GPU usage. Even the latest AAA story games are very CPU demanding. Are you sure u was cpu bound? Games are generally gpu bound
Talking in absolute terms is silly. £100 over MSRP for a 5090 is tiny vs a £450 CPU. It is 20% over MSRP atm which is bonkers for a CPU. I've never known anything like it. Even with the 5900X/5950X Zen 3 backlog, prices didn't rise like this. It is clearly being pushed up by demand and the fact the 7800X3D is still £450 (£120 more than the lowest price btw), which encourages people to bump up to the 9800X3D.Still. 100 more is buying two pc games
I received feedback yesterday to confirm it wasn't faulty.Just curious as if it was faulty that would explain why it didn't work but if its fine its strange that it would not be booting
