That's my worry. Got all my other parts waiting. Really don't want to miss out on this because of scummy scalpers again.Amazon couriers will have lots of 9800x3d on EBay for sale over the weekend. Never been used before.
Im torn, my 3770k is well over due a replacement, go 9800x3d or wait for some 7800x3d deals, as anything will be a huge jump
I wish OCUK would announce something.
Is that confirmed? both the UK price and release time?Like what?
It'll be available at 2pm tomorrow and will cost around £450. What more do you need to know?
Depends what you're upgrading from. My 3700x has quite a few stutters in games at 4k. the 1% lows suck.Sounds like a great CPU
Absolutely pointless for 4k gaming though.
Yeh, will be interesting. The 4090 was my first gpu that bottlenecks started to creep in at 4k with a last gen top cpu (5950x), nothing major but enough that the enthusiast in me had to upgrade to a 7950x3d at the timeLooking forward to seeing how teh 5080/90 affects these benchies at 4K
I'd like them to tell me that, rather than you assuming based on previous?Like what?

I've seen benchmarks where proper SAM helps with an XTX combo, reason I switched to a 7800X3D from my 13700k (plus it was a very good deal, didn't cost me much to switch over for a superior gaming chip).I wonder how 4k gaming is effected by DLSS?

You'd probably gain more yes, but run the risk of being slightly cpu bottlenecked in some games (where they don't take advantage of the 3D cache for instance). Tough call.I think im better off putting money into a 5080/5090 upgrade ?
