AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

****'s page was was displaying for £450 with no button to preorder. Then the preorder button went live with the price updated to £470 lol
Delete the retailer name, or star it out **** as per ocuk rules.

I had the same, however before i could checkout the price changed back to the RRP price.

Yes it also did not say "preorder" it said add to basket - I think that was quite misleading from them. I have orders from both so we will see who wins the race ;)

Remember a few pages back where I was told paper launches are no longer a thing and I was like I'd like one high end launch that proves that first... because I remember that

#Hostile was right.

Oh and I predicted the price..

#Hostile was right-er.

I am now a fully qualified forum insider.

Can't decide between one of these and waiting for the 9950X3D, such a shame they aren't releasing them until later, but I'm hoping that means they'll be so good they'd eat into 9800X3D sales (like last gen where the 7800X3D was so good they had to release it later).
This is £100 more than I paid for my 7800X3D though and I'm not sure it's that much better, plus it has a higher power draw.
Maybe if I wait for the 9950X3D I can make a more informed decision and if I go for the 9800X3D it might be cheaper by then.

But the FOMO...
For you since you have the 7800X3D it makes sense to wait.

I am on Zen3 with 5950X but I realised that I mainly game on this Windows machine so 9800X3D is a no brainer for me

If you need the extra cores, I would wait for the 9950X3D, but don't expect any price drops as AMD know it is an enthusiast chip and Intel have nothing to compete.

* Crosses fingers and hopes I'm in the first batch next week *

If I clicked Next Day delivery before 10:30am without reading the UK Customs message, can I have my shipping money back? :D

£75K of VAT for the GOV then!

I run a business. While technically a consumer tax and they are the ones paying it not you....it's not fun handing over 20% of your takings every quarter to the government ;)

Anyway anyone who bagged one for delivery this week you'll have to let us know how you get on while the rest sit twiddling our thumbs waiting on customs clearance.

I will if the X870E mobo I bought on impulse on the 30th of September isn't DoA... I've not had a CPU to test that it's working with yet!

Yep, that's why I said it. Bob head will be loving it!
