AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Did you pre-order one from here?

No. Wasn’t sure on the wait time etc.

I played a dangerous game and banked on being able to get it somewhere else. Managed to find it about one hour ago at a much less known retailer with next day delivery. They probably still had stock because they got customs and are a smaller company etc.

It’s still in stock now, but obviously won’t name the company.

Nope its miles off, not quite sure what or how it works unless it is delayed or just showing the past hour or so, were well over 1000 sold.
Could be affected by things like ad blockers. Depends how it is set up really.

I asked this earlier in the thread, but it probably got lost in all the other comments: Any idea when this might be back in stock? I'll be in wave 2 for the 9800X3D, just wondering if the motherboard will arrive around the same time if I pre-order that today

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £339.98 (includes delivery: £0.00)

Serious question why buy a 7800x3d when the 9800x3d fits on the same board and uses the same ram
They pushed the prices up of the 7800X3D to make the 9800X3D price look better.

These where £315 in June and today it went up from £400 to £420.

Everyone will just think "you may as well pay the £30 more and get the 9800X3D"

Or

They will reduce the 7800X3D in a week or so for Black Friday and make it look like a good deal

Was going over my budget to buy 7800x3d in the first place, Buying and building two gaming pc for Christmas. So was hoping for the £300-£350 for the 7800x3d. I can wait a bit longer. But for the price difference I can see your point as it does make sense to buy the 9800x3d.

I'm building a new system, the 7800x3D was £420 this morning compared to £450 for the 9800x3D. No brainer really, better performance (albeit marginal) and a potential to push the next upgrade.

Welp. Spoke too soon lol. Got an email saying it will be the 15th because of ‘logistics’ issues. So customs again.

Oh well, I tried I suppose. But beginning to wonder if anywhere actually had a single cpu to ship today lol.

Also think it’s a bit naughty as it looks like some retailers are saying ‘In stock’ and jacking up the price, but don’t actually have it in stock.

New system here and first built AMD. Been an Intel man for decades. Time to retire the 11700k.

New build
Asrock X870E Taichi Lite
9800x3d
1x Crucial 1TB PCIE5, 1x Crucial 4TB PCIE4 NVME drives
32GB Corsair vengeance 6400 EXPO
4080 Super until 5000 gets released.
360AIO
Asus PG49WCD 49” ultra wide monitor.

Not a bling, RGB build. It’s going into a Silverstone 5U rack mount case, which will go into my new Ubiquiti rack.

I'd hope that the scalped prices would be so insane due to the RRP of the 5090 that there will be really low demand, but I expect to be wrong!
probably not, the 4090 was easy to get due to the price, expected price of the 5090 is rumoured to be 2k so I wouldn`t think they will sell like hot cakes.

@Gibbo how do orders for the CPU work that included another product that is now out of stock? For example I ordered the CPU with a Crosshair X870E Hero which was in stock when I placed the order but is now out of stock presumably due to today's launch. Has the one in my order been reserved for me at this point?
