AMD Ryzen Motherboards

best value (e.g. with a used Ryzen 3600) is b450
b550 has better compatibility with newer cpus and PCI-E 4
x570 is the high-end option, it has more pci-e 4 lanes, but it's technically older and the feature set/VRMs aren't always better than a decent b550

B450 cheapest for the 5000 series
B550 is the cheapest option with PCIE 4.0
X570 is the top end, usually not worth it for most people unless you want that extra PCIE lanes or front USB C connection.

Don't get conned into overspending on MOBO's that have features you'll never use, and features that aren't even widely implemented yet and won't be for some time. Expensive MOBO's are the biggest waste of money in PC gaming.

Yeah, have seen buying super expensive mobo and 8 core CPU while same money would have given perfectly good mobo and 12 core CPU.
