This is possibly a really silly question, but I have to ask it, I am looking at the Corsair Vengeance AMD Ryzen Tuned ram, my question is, does it work ok with an Intel chip? Or are they specifically made for Ryzen chips?

it will work. if you google the model part number and look on the corsair website it says intel motherboards as well as amd x570 etc. i think its just been rebadged to try get sales with the new ryzen release.

Came to ask the same question

CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18 - Ryzen optimised with a £7 price premium

CMK16GX4M2D3600C18 - not Ryzen optimised but same timings and all other specs and cheaper too.

From what I can tell there is 0 difference between these SKU's?

Ryzen 3000x love ram much more than the previous 2000x generation, If you have a new 3000x get the cheapest one, if you have a 2000x probably I would pay those 7 pounds to make sure is ryzen friendly

Even tho the ram situation is massively improved with the 3000 series, I would still do a lot of home work on your ram as it's massively important still to get the right one.

Ideally you want either a 3600/cl16 or a 3200/cl14, these will give you very good performance at a reasonable price.

Manually setting timings to 3800/cl16 or 3600/cl14 will yield a few more % performance but only if your willing to put some time in.

Are these sticks likely to be able to run at those speeds and timings though? If so they are good value at £80 and I'd be tempted.
