AMD Ryzen/X570 USB issue?

I remember when planning my build reading about USB issues, but not the details. On my Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master with 5900X I have an issue with a device that won't connect properly and the application is claiming that this is because a 3rd party application is using it. I also noticed that when I unplugged the device it changed the RGB intensity on my Gigabtye RTX3900 Aorus Extreme WB - unlikely a coincidence. Can anyone here point me in the right direction for information about the USB problems that I'm sure I remember reading about?

Think they're all fixed now on recent BIOS/driver combos. I used to get the odd disconnect of my sound card but that's fixed now.

The main issue was disconnects, your issue sounds different.

I'm still on F33 because it didn't seem that the changes in F34 and F35 warrant an update for me. Thanks for stating that the problem was disconnects - as far as I know I haven't had anything like that. But in the meantime I did a bit of research and experimentation and discovered that the culprit was Gigabyte's Aorus Fusion 2.0 RGB control software. I'm not into RGB but I have a case with a glass side so that I can regularly inspect fittings for any visible coolant leaks. To help I have the RGB components set to a low white light. So I'd prefer to have RGB control so I'm looking for an alternative to Fusion.

I thought Asus's rgb software was bad but Gigabyte is worse.. At least my Gigabyte stuff doesn't randomly break so I'll live with it and work through these RGB irritations lol!

I used Asus for my previous gaming PC. That SW was flaky but at least it didn't stop a 3rd party USB device from communicating with the 3rd part host SW. But is there any component manufacturer who does have good SW across their range? My choice of Gigabyte this time was purely for the watercooling aspects of their products - EK's chipset and monoblock support for the X570 Master and Gigabyte's extreme WB graphics card.
