AMD Socket 940 heatsink = work with am3?

Hi,

I have an unused Zalman CNPS8000 Ultra Quiet Low Profile Heatpipe CPU Cooler. Can it be used on an AM3 Micro-ATX board?

The site just says Compatibility with Intel Socket 775 and AMD socket 754/939/940, but some retailers are saying it works with am2, am2+ and am3.

I'm totally confused.

If it 100% doesnt work, where can i buy an am3 mounting bracket for the heatsink?

If its AM2 compatible it'll work with AM3 most likely
