AMD Socket G34

12 core's on one cpu Gheez we are hardly using the full potential of the current Quad core offerrings availeable to date.
Also sound like AMD are taking a leaf out of intels book by sandwiching 2 Quad core cpu's together on one die or am i reading it wrong.


The first of these processors, 8-core Sao Paolo, is described as a "twin native-quadcore Shanghai processor" by one AMD engineer. Shanghai, expected to ship late this year, is AMD's first 45nm shrink of the ill-fated Barcelona processor.

Would like to see them hit the shelfs just after Intel release the Nehalem chip that way they dont lose to much ground to Intel in the next round of CPU war's

But then again im one to talk im still using an X2 939 pinset and DDR 1
