Hi all,
It's been quite a while since i've been on here, so hello to all again. It has come that time to upgrade, and as always, OcUK was the first stop. Got my cpu sorted, phenom II x4 955, got the mobo sorted as well Asus M4A88TD-M. Now the next step is the memory. This is where a couple of things flew up...
A lot of the mem on Oc says it is tuned to work best with Intel's iCore's, but none of the stuff on here for what i want (2x2gb, at a reasonable price) is AMD specific. I read on the Corsair website that they do AMD specific memory, but the question is this...
Is cpu vendor specific memory worth it? i.e., should i buy the corsair stuff because it is tuned to run best with phenom II's, or should i just go with normal everyday good quality memory, and try my best to avoid the one's that have been tuned for Intel.
As usual, I have no doubt that there will be a plethora of people on here that have a good knowledge of what would be best.
Thanks for any help,
Atocp
