Am really happy to see this, AMD titles are always very well optimised for the PC.

Gearbox follows along with Ubisoft once a massive company for producing Nvidia sponsored titles.

It's unreal engine 4 game right? Doesn't that mean it's automatically well optimized for Nvidia?
At least hopefully it means they'll try to put some extra work in for AMD on this engine

It be like anything else Amd has worked on. All very well optimised games for both nvidia and AMD.

They is nothing in these titles taking a side like Gameworks.

Just look over titles amd has worked on vs nvidia.
Some of the best PC titles for performance has AMDs name on them, while some of the worst titles have Gameworks.

but am i right in saying it will be feature lacking? the physX on borderlands 2 was superb and really set it apart from the console versions. IF well optimised means reduced features then i am not sure that is good..... i suppose it is easy to run well if you remove stuff like that.

or is it going to have an open source equivalent and will have all the same eyecandy? in which case that IS great news.

They really isn't any need for Physx anymore.
They is enough other alternatives out that do the job good enough these days.

Did AMD pay Epic for exclusivity? GaBEN is going to be heartbroken as ATI partnered with Valve when Steam was new for HL2.

Sure it does, it means graphics engineer's from AMD work alongside the development team to build and optimise the game for the hardware.

Amd themselves have released videos from past games explaining this.

It just so happens that while Amd get the PC port optimised Nvidia users also benefit because everything amd adds is open source and works well on either amd or nvidia.

A perfect example that I keep bring up.

Nvidia sponsored titles are know for some of the worst PC ports available, while Amd sponsored titles are know for being some of the best title for performance.

What do Amd add that is open source? Or do you just mean things in general?

Its not always for what you see like TressFX its for what is happening under the hood that AMD provide game developers.

Video from 3 years ago, the building box for what is happening today. They is a reason devs are jumping at AMD and its not because of money, its because of an eco system AMD has created optimise for console and PC = less time and money. Like I said this code is also open source and it just so happens that nvidia also get the best out of their GPUs.

I have been keeping a close eye over the last year VEGA vs 10 series time and have noticed AMDs frame latency vs Nvidia in a lot of games is better! What I have also noticed is just how much better Nvidia frame latency is when the game is AMD involved!

AMD simple produce well optimised games for the PC! That is a fact!

That's old news. PhysX has been open source since December 2018

And RTX Runs on Microsoft's DXR (DX Runtime Engine).

Correct me if am wrong! Has Nvidia public came out and said this? I dont seem to find anything, I remember this article and was one of the first to give Nvidia the thumbs up in the thread for this!

It's a shame they made it an EPIC exclusive.

I dont see the issue? We have had steam exclusive for years, another player in the mix and giving back to the devs more. Valve takes 30%

Surely the thread titles wrong, as it makes it sound like AMDs snapping games away from Nvidia left right and centre, when in reality, they hardly sponsor any at all, let alone take them from Nvidia

I think you find you wrong.
Borderlands 1, 2 and pre sequel are all Nvidia sponsored titles. I think amd getting number 3 calls taking away from the competition.

Also if you look back over these last two years alone I think you find Amd has be involved just has many if not more titles.

Hell Amd even taken ubisoft a company that was once nvidia all over it.

What has nvidia released lately? Metro and battlefield 5 and tomb raider.

Just this year amd has been involved in 3 released titles. Resi 2, devil my cry and division 2

No it isn't, when they take them every month, for a good few years, like Nvidia have been doing, then it'll be huge, for all we know, that 3 could be it for this year, and well beyond.

Nvidia sponsored titles wasn't all the time. They had the main ones Batman, and Ubi games each year. They was spaced out through out the year like now. Only difference they have lost big companies to AMD. World War Z is another title coming soon followed by RAGE 2 in May.
