It's not about value, it's about what you can buy for 1k NOW. For 1k, Threadripper is a compelling choice if you're workload is skewed towards multi threading.

Still no guarantee the 7960X will blitz the 1950X. Looking at leaked LN2 overclocks, doesn't look like it goes much past the 1950X (200mhz at most). It also looks like it might not maintain it's boost clocks as well as the 1950X.

I've a feeling that while the 7960X will beat the 1950X, it wont be by the margin you're expecting.

Ok, well we'll draw the line there. Just noticed your previous ninja edits.

X370 was a crap show compared with X99. Not sure how anyone could make that comparison.
