5960X can also do high 4.6ghz+ on Non AVX loads without delidding.
The question people are asking is what the 14/16/18 core versions will actually do at stock and when OC'd.
Massive leap from the old 10c though, like 700mhz. Haswell-E was a long way off either in IPC.

I would expect 5ghz on all cores, since the 10 core skylake x can do that, there's no reason to think their newer cpu, on a more refined process can't do 5ghz.
