Yet there are still plenty of people unable to reach those speeds on Ryzen setups, I cant get over 2933. :)

It would not surprise me in the least if Intel's antics are still going on as we type. You only have to look at all the laptops on sale at probably the UK's largest "take away" and you will notice only a handful of lappy's that have AMD cpu's in them.

Corruption is rife where ever their is plenty of money to be made. It's the type of mentality that is born from Capitalism.

I was looking through the lastest PC Gamer and noticed that most of the ads were for Intel desktops but I think, in this case anyway, it's just more about recognised branding and the fact that Intel is still generally quicker in games. I know it's banded about here a lot but I don't think the average consumer buying a pre-built considers price/performance ratio and are also probably not even aware of it.

Its corsair lpx 3466, however its single sided Samsung b die and I cannot get it higher. (Granted I am not that knowledgeable on what settings to use but I have tried all sorts). Asus 370 prime pro board with latest bios.

Point being I am unsure you average reviewers should use the fastest possible memory when a lot of people cannot achieve that. :)

If you open your mother board memory support pdf, your ram module isn't in the compatible list. You are lucky to have it running at 2933, because both the 3000 and 3600 (corsair lpx) can only run 2133.

Barely there is a dozen modules support high speeds on that board, which isnt one of the good ones either.

If you check other boards, you will find your ram running at the advertised speed.

The (what looks to be exactly the same tech specs) RGB version of the kit is on the support list for 3200.

Boards ok, overclocks well at least. :)

That's what confused me as I assumed it was on the list by the description :)

To get 2933 just have ch6 with everything on auto and set speed to 2933. 3066 is fine but occasionally fails to boot and drops back to 2133. Until I need 32GB unlikely I will change it but would advise people to avoid corsair memory for ryzen in the main.

I had 2933 stable with Cl14 timings, 3066 boots up ok and pass the test with cl 16
3200 fails to boot completely

It is b die. Boots at 3200 and 3466, just not stable.

Think I will relegate this setup to my daughters build and get a crosshair extreme and proper ram. :p
