Ok then - let's start this up. After seeing the spec of the Zen 3 desktop CPUs, I'm excited to see what AMD can bring to the high performance segment.

I reckon we'll start seeing nuggets of info a couple of weeks after 5xxx series desktop CPUs hit retail and a late Feb launch.

So, let's have your predictions, rumours and wants for Threadripper on Zen 3.
 
I think "normal" Threadripper is now dead. There will be Ryzen desktop upto 16 cores and Threadripper Pro from 24 cores and up. TRX40 is a dead end.

Grats :-) The 3960x is a really nice cpu, you'll be more than happy with it. Run ctr on it when you get it, the hybrid OC works a treat :-)
