AMD Trinity CPU to be up to 20% faster than Llano

It was mentioned by this website that a Trinity sample they had performed better than the Llano sample they had:

It would be have better if AMD had said what settings the game(DiRT3?) was running at though.Perhaps a picture of what speed the CPU was running at too would have been a good idea.

According to this article Trinity will have 25% greater CPU performance and 50% higher GPU performance:

I suspect they must be referring to the increase in compute performance of the new IGP.

The 35W mobile version was running DiRT3 at high settings at 1366X768 with 4XAA smoothly and the desktop version was running the same game at lower settings without AA at 5040X1050!

It seems this table is true:

The top A10-5800K has a 3.8GHZ core clockspeed with Turbo Core upto 4.2GHZ and the GPU has 384 VLIW4 shaders running at 800MHZ.

It also seems to have FMA3 too.

The article says they are going to run a few benchmarks too.

It seems a decent improvement over the A8-3500M.

The preview is comparing the fastest 35W parts - there are higher clocked mobile Llano CPUs but these are 45W parts.

They compare the 35W TDP A10-4600M against the 35W A8-3500M. The highest performing 35W TDP Llano part is the A8-3520M which is clocked 100MHZ higher than the A8-3500M.

It seems the A10-4600M is a decent performance increase over the A8-3500M.

It will be interesting to see if AMD releases 45W TDP parts and how well they will do against the 45W TDP A8-3550MX.
