AMD TrueAudio Demo

you need either R9 290 serious or R7 260 series as the other two don't have true audio in them yet; but rumor is they are being baked into 270 and 280 series......when I don't know

How true audio works is; graphics cards got dps chips in it that will handle the audio over the cpu and then send it to your sound card.......:)

lowering the sound overhead from cpu and giving us massive leap in audio which we haven't had since first creative cards......
 
If i'm honest. I'm not impressed by that demo at all, not much changed :/.
Would be good to get one for BF4 or something where there's stuff happening.

MPC: One of the problems with gaming today is a lot of gamers run USB headsets. The DSP's are external to the PC – but with TrueAudio, you’re saying you’re getting to the audio before it even gets pushed out to the audio devices? How does this work if you have an existing sound card already such as an X-Fi, Xonar or advanced onboard audio already?

We designed AMD TrueAudio in the manner that we did precisely because we know users have great audio hardware with high-quality OPAMPS that they don’t want or need to forfeit. Whatever audio device(s) a user has right now, that hardware is ready to go with AMD TrueAudio.

Huge differerence.
sennheiser hd600 and essence stx.
spatial orientation changes dramatically with more room (space) for the sound.

owns the bf4 sound engine.
 
Wait a sec is true audio just to make stereo headset sound like surround sound?

I just stuck it through my system thinking they would compare old 5.1 to amd true audio 5.1 but it's on about stereo systems what a load of junk.

YouTube don't support 5.1
True audio will work with all outputs.

Ok I think it's just me I have no interest in stereo surround sound what so ever.

When I switched my system to stereo the true audio clearly sounded better than the stock one.

I thought this new tech was all about making 5.1 better my mistake.

It is for 5.1 also just this is a stereo demo.
