AMD Turion 62 x 2 Help

Hello,

I Have a HP DV9000 laptop, and i dont really find it fast at all.

So i was looking around and on Tweak Vista i seen my CPU info says:

Current Clock Speed: 800 mhz
Max Clock Speed: 1600mhz

Does this mean somewhere my PC is set to only go half the speed it is capable of and if so how can i boost it?

maybe it's using a speedstep variant to drop the multi???

are you suggesting OCing a laptop??

Just a power saving feature..

It should go back upto 1.6Ghz when you load up a cpu intensive app.

Laptops feel slow because of slow hard drives... and/or low amount of ram usually

Could I ask what Turion model yours is?
I've just bought laptop with Turion TL-58 that runs at 800mhz without load and 1600mhz with load that's normal, however i understood that the TL-58 is 1.9GHz not 1.6GHz if so where's the other 300mhz gone????
