AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology coming soon?

As the title

Can anyone tell me how soon the "coming soon" (found on the AMD site) could be? Have you seen any reviews/press release/etc.?

I have tried to look at the AMD road map but to no avail.

IMO it should be 940 and probably 65 nm, but who knows. I have not seen any press release. Any guesses whether it will be a match for the Duo Core of Intel? The main drawback of the current Turion is the fact that they use Sockt 754 and have limited FSB, apart from having half of the cash of Centrinos.

I am keen on bying a laptop based on this new AMD technology but if I have to wait for another year until something decent comes out I might re-consider and go for a Duo Core. AMD have been quite on this.

it's obviously based on AM2 and will support DDR2

Sadly it looks like all the mobile chips will be on a seperate socket (S2) in the near future. It's a shame amd won't just move everything to AM2.

It seems that the Socket is S1.and eventually will be called Taylor. We will see in a month time.
