AMD Unfazed By Impending NVIDIA 9600 Launch

AMD are still very competitive in the low to mid range, I don't see why the 9600gt should have them overly worried.

Would assume that all this 'hot air' is marketing doing its stuff.

Your competitor is bringing a new product out so (a) Don't say its rubbish - too harsh - don't say yours is better (theirs might prove to be better than yours after all) just rubbish it gently e.g not worried about it (b) If you have a new product available bring it out early (nvid with 8800gt); steals thunder if nothing else ....if nothing available ,drop your prices (if your product proves better , you can always raise prices again e.g inreasing cost of ...) but if the compet.'s product is better you might get a few extra sales etc

Moral, as always is best to wait and see. BUT if you do you may miss the bargain..aargh:)

If the 9600GT is price at that of a 3850 then the 3850 is not a good choice anymore as the 9600GT is as fast as an 8800GT with AA from what we can see.

Prices will drop, 3870 will be the same price as the current 3850 supposingly while the 3850 will fall a bit as well.

3850 and 3870 should still offer high performance for the money.
