AMD Uninstall Utiity breaks windows 8

Just a heads up about the AMD Uninstall utility they recently released. I ran it and yes it does remove drivers, but on Windows 8 (not tested 7) it also caused the following problems.

- Removed the names of all Windows themes.
- Removed the ability to select different mouse cursors.
- Removed the ability to change power plans.
- Messed the 'description' of all Windows Services (services.msc)

Only way to resolve these issues was to do a System restore.

Not saying this will happen to you, but it might as I tried it twice just to confirm it was this.

I can confirm that it works fine on Windows 7. Yet another reason not to go near Windows 8 and wait for W9.

its not windows 8 to blame when amd release a bugged program.
best OS I used since it just is so snappy and works.

To be fair, it is not the problem with Windows 8 itself.

However regardless of who to blame (mostly software developers I would think), but with all these compatiability issues with drivers, software etc, I would think it is just "safer" or "better bet" to use Windows 7 so to speak.
