I'm looking to upgrade my old Athlon II based system, and it will be used mostly to run lightroom and photoshop elements. I'll be reusing case, power supply, Radeon 1Gb 5570, optical drive and all peripherals and can get OS elsewhere. Most files stored on a microserver, but have an old 500Gb STA drive for content.
Would this lot be sensible, or should I be looking at intel? Could I reuse old motherboard (AM3-based Asus M4A78LT-M-LE) and go for more RAM instead?
