Hi folks, i am looking to build a new pc and since its 6 years since i last did it advice is required .
Having looked at a few posts on here i have came to the conclusion that Intel are the favoured CPU.
Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) v Amd FX-8350 Eight Core Black Edition CPU The new AMD cpu seems like a better buy but like i say been out of toutch .
Ok so i want a pc for mainly HD video editing/rendering , was wanting an ssd hard drive + 1tb sata 3 ,Asus mb,16 gig ram, decent psu, a cheap case will do as it will never be seen , i have a GForce GTX 550 TI that is new and never been used , and as for cooling i aint got a clue .
Thanks for any info , help in choosing the right components .

Guys the AMD cpu is nearly £100 cheaper than the Intel and i dont play games like i said i am well out of date with components . My price range will be around £500-£600 , I have a new never used G Force 550GTX TI so i hope it will do .
Parts needed
MB Prefer an Asus
CPU
Ram x 16 gig
ssd 120gb
1tb sata 3 hdd
Case not bothered as it will never be seen cheaper the better
Half decent psu
No op system required or monitor ,keyboard either .

The reason i picked that intel cpu was it was listed in another post and the poster was looking for a similar type of pc and similar price range to me sorry for causing a wee bit of confusion .

If my Gtx 550 TI is no good then what do folks think is a better option .I thought it was a decent card but then again things move on get quicker ect .

Zakblood thanks for your spec, i have been back and forth looking a pre builds and self builds and have decided to increase my buget to 1k but i want a 24 monitor .The thing is with a pre build you get 2 yrs return to base and the machine ready to go and should be set up overclocked and built by a competent person so what i need to know is how much will i save building my self £50,£100?) .
