AMD v INTEL

The question i really want to know is Intels Core Duo much better than the AMD FX62?

For example:

I always thought AMD was the "best" for games

my hope is AMD pulls back to keep the competition between them going. AMD has always been my perference but everywhere i look its intel conroe taking the lead just now apparently for value/performance. I dont know if links are allowed but this site - http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu.html?modelx=33&model1=432&model2=464&chart=181 has them both mostly neck-on-neck with each higher in some aspects. Ofcourse since the conroe is cheaper it wins

There is nothing 'Fake' about Intels Dual Core. Its a monolithic dual core processor linked by a shared cache. If you dont like the design, dont buy it.

Even the Quad core is a 'real' quad core processor. Sure its mutiple dies in a single package, but its still 4 processors etc.

looks like someone cant afford a c2d lol

I was an all AMD man until i tried c2d, dunno if I will go back to amd now, this thing rocks, massive overclock and still cooler than an amd.
