AMD vs nvidia

hi i have been out of folding for a bit..well my cpu has never stopped but thinking of getting a new card to replace the 650ti i had, was thinking of a 750ti as just in the price i want to spend but the wondered if AMD cards are giving good PPD now? when i get the 650ti AMD was pants at folding just wondered if anything has changed ?

I bought my 750Ti several months ago to do folding and then found out that they didn't work for Folding I haven't looked recently as to whether they have fixed whatever the problem was as I moved it onto other projects and am having more fun there

yes i find some old info that it not fold but nothing in say the last mouth,
I guess i can do something different but it take me months of folding to get me on the 1st page of ECO stats ....think am 73 ish or something

i see a second hand 7970 is simula price to a new 750ti..i know the amd will be more power hungry but how will the ppd compar

have a second hand XFX 7870 i get for 64 quid coming, will let you know what it do

A 7870 should also do better than a 750ti I think, though I am less certain of this.

if i remember the specks (looked at so many i can be confused ) 1 of the main difference between a 7970 and a 7870 seamed to be memory bandwidth which i believe not make to much difference with folding ..also the extra 40 or 50 watts is a bit over budget
