AMD what are they doing?

holy miss the point batman

The point being that you would have spat venom and vitriol no matter how AMD handled their release.

You know, even if I were to empathise with you and agree that AMD are milking their cards (and they are, but that's their prerogative) then you would still come back with another complaint.

All that hate doesn't do you any good man. I suggest you wrap up nice and warm, go outside and go for a walk and take a few deep breaths.

IMO (and I am an extremely critical person) the only thing AMD got wrong this time around was not having a broader range of parts available at launch.

IE - a card for all. Where is the 5770? where is the 5830?

There aren't any, so those who wanted a nice cheap (yet 28nm new) card can't have one yet and they're frustrated.

I've no doubt Kepler will be faster, none at all. And I am sure AMD knew that too, hence the rush to get the cards out the door and rake back some cash before they are forced to drop prices.

It's not often AMD have their hour in the sun, so I'm taking nothing away from them at all. It's exactly what Nvidia did with the 500 series after licking their 400 series wounds.

Your attitude is insipid and it gets tiring after a while.

Its amazing how many people are attacking me rather than addressing the real problem here. :p

Its not me that needs to get a grip its you lot.

Not one of you have responded to post 51

You just moan on the froums in my thread about me.

Tip: Post something in response rather than venom

If you're to thick to have a counter arguement then don't post at all.

Whats wrong with you people?

Oh I forgot its the GFX card section :p

Why do you care so much easyrider?

See one of Gibbo's posts in another of your whining threads where he mentions sales of the 7900 series and Zero sales of the GTX580..

This is proof that AMD have a better product out at the moment, it is selling.

Ever considered that if AMD lower the prices to increase demand they may not have enough stock to meet that demand? So they would sell the same number of graphics cards at a lower price reducing profits... it doesn't make any business sense.

Maybe when production increases they will lower prices or when nVidia do something about it. Until then grow a pair and deal with it.

.

Thats because the 580 is over a year old.

The manufacturer is not the problem, he just likes to have a good moan at prices. It seems the 3000 topics on the issue already weren't enough, need more of them on the front page of graphics to water down the forum a bit.

You water down the forum enough thankyou with you banal posts:p

You're the problem, so they are addressing you.

Winner!

As for post 51, I don't really see the relevance. Nobody cares about your guitar dealings, they have nothing to do with graphics cards.
Unless you can provide up to date, accurate sales figures for AMDs 7 series graphics cards, then your posts are all useless speculation. It's disappointing to see so many 79-0 threads littered with your rubbish.

Just checked on the egg shaped US site, and 3/4 of their 7970 range is out of stock.

AMD are selling out like hot cakes on a winters day in the US, and many on forums are desperately trying to source 7970's.

AMD are disappoint that sales here don't match your expectations.

Gibbo has already stated that the cards are selling. I dont see what the problem is. If there was massive stock piles everywhere then i would agree amd have a problem and need to lower the prices to get them shifted. It may even happen you never know but for now amd seem happy with whats going on.

easyrider, we get it now mate, but is there really a need for all these threads about how bad and over priced amd 7000 series is?

How do you work that out?

Don't tell me they cant read post Number 51 in this very thread?

So because you sell guitars you now have access to all of OCUK's sales records?

I'm not being funny man, but the only thing guitars and GPUs have in common is that sometimes if you appeal to the right person you can charge a fortune for one.

IE - my father in law wanted a Les Paul Casino. But, he wanted a left hooker, so he paid out the backside for it.

I could have quite easily countered and said he could have got a different make or model. But the point you so sorely seem to miss is that he didn't want another make or model.

You can argue it until you are blue in the face, man. The only point you could possibly make about poor sales figures would be to use OCUK's stock of the 7 series and then point out that they didn't all sell out.

Sadly from what I saw OCUK were the only place not to sell out. Now obviously I can't sit here and run off a list of companies who did, but I can tell you now that it was most if not all. And those who did were selling the card at the supposed RRP of £439.

And I know that because I was in the market to buy one, so spent hours of my time going through every single last place I could think of before pulling the trigger. And when I found the card I bought (again I can't name names as it would only be removed) the stock had gone in on a Sunday afternoon. I guess this particular company opened on the Sunday.

And within hours the card I bought was sold out, along with all the others. Which made me rather nervous because it took them three days to successfully charge my CC (I have a £400 anti fraud limit on it that I forgot about) and I was paranoid they would end up making a mistake and sending the card to some one else.

And by that time there were no £439 cards left anywhere, on any British website that sells computer components. They were all pre order for 2nd Feb.

Easy, it's called an opinion.

Also when you're going to call whoever disagrees with you "thick", then try to use proper English as it only reflects your accusation. "Too" and "Argument".

It's not us people Easy. It's your mentality about the pricing of the 7900 series and the inability to post ONE thread or have ONE area of discussion but you continue to make thread after thread, post after post trying to make people think like you do. I've saw you post about yourself in third person. You really need to get off your high horse and how you speak to people is attrocious.
