You don't need them, they're just drivers that haven't been through WHQL testing.
They are for the most part exactly the same as WHQL signed drivers.
Also never seen Program Compatibility Assistant, turn that off too. In fact, turn off everything that tries to be helpful.

Best piece of advice i have ever seen.
Annoying windows messages don't pop up.
On more obscure software it means their won't be any malware since it's been 'approved'.
