which processor is best for games and internet mostly bf2 i have about £550 to spend not bothered about two pci e cards as long as the one i do have has x16 speed , also is it worth getting a p4 for ddr2 memory would this make it faster also what card (graphics) ati or nvidia , basicly can you give me a list of what i need for a fast system


sorry i`m a newbie, i need every thing case ect upwards


my sig is incorrcet had to sell it , economising, was very unstable
 
The current swing for gamers seems to definatly be the AMD based systems (Getting my X2 4200 tomoz). GFX wise, take your pick :p

£550 should be able to get you a decent machine with an X1800 as far as I'm aware.

I'm upgrading and its costing £900. I already got 1GB RAM, 220GB HDD total space and 2 optical drives.

yeah it may - the dual core proc certainly wouldnt help. allough. i bet it could manage it (and you have no dvd :p)

whats the point in getting a mastercard if its a) over half your budget, b) youll need a new board and psu anyway?

i thought it was a damn fine spec lol
