Howdy,

Just a quickie really... I wanna know the max temp for the AMD X2 4400+ and I feel the best place to tell me that is amd.com themselves.

Well they do just that, but they list 2 X2 4400+ CPU's (skt939) on there, each with a different max temp? So how do I find out what one is mine?

1: http://www.amdcompare.com/us-en/desktop/details.aspx?opn=ADV4400DAA6CD

2: http://www.amdcompare.com/us-en/desktop/details.aspx?opn=ADA4400DAA6CD

Apart from the core temp and wattage... what is the difference between them? I mean how can I tell what one of those I have? On the AMD box maybe?

Any help will be appreciated!

Run Coretemp, it'll tell you for your specific CPU.

I do run coretemp... I run it whilst running Orthos to tell me my current temps... but it wont tell me my max temp thou will it? I agree with elfy... once it reaches 65c I think I will stop, but if I can handle 71c.. there could be room for more clocking greatness! Also if the max is 65c then 61/62c will be my limit!

What is your stepping?

Sorry guru... what do you mean by stepping?

Ah I see that after you posted, but mine is blanked out/disabled and doesn't show a value? Should it?

Whats the "Ordering P/N (Tray)" on the AMD site? Cos they differ from each? Also "Thermal Power/Wattage"... how do I know if mine is 110w or 89w?
