AMD Z-60?

Can anyone tell me about this.
How does it compare to the intel range, I've read it's faster than atom and has pretty decent graphics?

How does it stack up against i3 or the 2000/3000/4000hd graphics on the I series.

Single thread performance is a bit better than Atom,although the dual core Atoms have HT which can even the score. The IGP has the same number of shaders as an HD5450,so should be close to an HD2000,but the CPU is much weaker than a Core i3 so would probably be a bottleneck.

Mobile Atom CPUs are now a SOC,meaning power consumption is better than the Z60 although the graphics core is worse. The SOC Atom CPUs have a SGX540 or SGX545 IGP.

A Celeron G530/H61 mobo with a 5450 is far superior and not much more expensive if you don't mind the external GPU, power usage won't be much different at idle either and you'll have lots of CPU power in reserve.

The Z60 is a tablet chip.

It has six SATA ports and is fully passive making it ideal for use as a cheap server. The CPU only has a 9W TDP.

Plus an A6-5400K is a better choice than a Celeron G530 and a HD5450 for desktop use. Idle power consumption is very low with Trinity.

This, trying to get an idea where it fits in the win8 tablet Eco systems.

So it's basically a dirct competitor to the new atoms and CPU power about even, z60 wins on gfx but loses on power?

The GPU side's pretty good.
CPU side it's pretty good too, just low clocked, however it's using almost 3 times the power of the clovertrail atoms.
