AMD zen 2 pcie lanes

I'm looking to upgrade my mobo/cpu as my current setup has been going for 7 years now, and i'm pretty much decided on X570. Problem is there are only 24 pcie lanes, so if I use 16 for the gpu, four are used for the M.2 storage which I am hoping to use, and the other four are for the CPU connecting to the X570 chipset according to this https://hothardware.com/news/amd-x570-ryzen-3000-zen-2-chipset-diagram-pcie-4-lanes
So will there be nowhere to put my sound card? If so i'll have to decide between using onboard audio or keeping the SATA SSD I currently have. Or will a GPU run ok on x8?

The south bridge, or the X570 chipset uses four PCI-E lanes (4.0x speed) to connect back to the CPU. The chipset provides up to 20 PCI-E lanes for M.2 slots/PCI-E slots and other peripherals directly, similar to how the PCH works on the Intel Z390 for example.

Basically any board you buy will do what you want. :)
 
As a general idea, motherboard manufacturers wouldn't put a whole assortment of slots/connectivity on a board if only 2-3 would work at a time.

So if you get a board with plenty of slots, you should be ok. The main thing to check is, which PCIe lanes are affected by M.2 slot use, but it's usually ok in terms of PCIe slots :)
