AMD Zen 5 rumours

Oof

Watching hardware unboxed

This looks like a stinker lol

7800x3d though just looks like *the* chip to get for gamers

That was always gonna be the case when AMD said it wouldn't match it in gaming if pricing was better could have made a case but it isn't, and 7800x3d getting close to £300 ,

Seems a long time coming which adds to the disappointment. Only skimmed one review (S.Burke's) but memory compatibility issues on existing motherboards that have been around a while, what the heck? If Intel pull something decent off performance wise and work well out of the box, they could well repair some of their damaged reputation.

What a disappointment and if these vanilla chips are only a couple of % faster then is there any point waiting for X3D versions as they’re not going to be hardly any faster than Zen4 X3D.

It's currently £329.99 how low did it drop previously ?
It's been closer to £300 (£315) and I'm sure many hoped it would drop after the 9000 releases, my point is that I don't think that's gonna happen after seeing the performance... :/

Halfway into GN videao and it looks like the 9700X is often comparable to a 5700X3D (and sometimes 5600X3D, in gaming), that's just awful

Well it's likely to jump up now till x3d zen5 release

I was hoping these would lead to some cheap used 7xxx series chips appearing, but nobody’s going to be upgrading from 7xxx to 9xxx.
