I'm sure AMD would have wanted people buying the new higher margin chips rather than the old lower margin discounted parts.Y'know I don't think AMD are too sad about people buying other AMD products instead.

Maybe they will come the announcement but for now they are probably sitting back and letting AMD dig their own hole with Zen 5.
Regardless of what any of these companies say I'll be waiting for 3rd party reviews before making my mind up.
Intel does have access to more advanced packaging technologies than AMD which is helpful. The big unknown with ARL is whether going all out with chiplets will see any latency issues.
Either way the 100W less max power thing is very welcome - let us hope no desktop vendor will be tempted to try 300W+ mainstream CPU again for a very long time!
Oems. They get to revamp thier product line with the "all new cpus"Concerning disastrous sales - the point is who is the market for these? At this stage it’s enthusiasts. So if you’ve got a zen 3 5 series and haven’t already upgraded the CPUs aren’t really better than the 7 series and you’re probably not going to bother with changing mobo etc. If you’ve got a 7 series forget it. The customers for the product as it stands don’t really exist.
Pretty sure there's normally been a slightly weaker CCD and a better one on these larger chips
This is what I have always seen in the past, had the same on my 3900X.. that guy is an idiot. There's always been one stronger CCD on the dual CCD chips. This guy is a retard.

Frame Chasers, he is the dumbest man on the internet, AMD use CCD parking because of the inter CCD latency, absolutely nothing to do with the CCD its self.
something weird going on with Total War numbers therekitguru
Glad this is coming soon, gives the 7800X3D a good boost too!
On the other hand, Polish known and well regarded website benchmarked these CPUs with and without CCD parking and difference in performance (especially in games) has been within the margin of error. It likely varies between games and CPUs but at least for their sample it didn't make any meaningful difference.Frame Chasers, he is the dumbest man on the internet, AMD use CCD parking because of the inter CCD latency, absolutely nothing to do with the CCD its self.
