Would have to see the minimums to know for sure, that chart ranges from ok to mediocre at best.
Not sure though they could be the gains from the rumored 400mhz increase from the 7800x3D.That's... Better than the uplift from the rest of the 9000 series?

True, if you remove the outlier result on FC6 the other two are within the margin of error so not sure about those at the mo.Would have to see the minimums to know for sure, that chart ranges from ok to mediocre at best.
Its been going back up for awhile now, currently £398.99 on OCUk, Gone up again as it was £390 earlierTrue, if you remove the outlier result on FC6 the other two are within the margin of error so not sure about those at the mo.
I forsee the 7800X3D's going up in price.
Cherry picked stuff. Prob work out around 5/6% on average, I was expect 10% on average personally.
With performance gains like these it’s no wonder the 7800X3D is now back to retailing for around £400 if AMD are intending to launch the new chip for £450.
Think I'll skip and just keep the money for Zen 6... or get insanely drunk on new years eve.
only if it's your hobby and you have the disposable income for it lolIs upgrading every generation ever worth it? Granted I only game at 1440p so I generally skip a generation.
Right now I’m holding out to get the 9800x3d over the 7800x3d. I’m coming from a 4 year old 5900x, still a decent cpu but I have that upgrade itch, Argh!

I think that’s a fair choice…
But I’ve got to say, having bought a 9950x, I’ve not been more impressed by a CPU for quite some time.
Granted I came from a 3950x, so the uplift was always going to be substantial, but what I really was not expecting was how incredibly well these chips overclock. The architecture seems to have plenty of headroom; which I don’t think many of the reviewers have touched on at all.
PBO all core negative 30, with another -10 on mid and high loads thanks to the new curve shaper is absolutely rock solid; and it’s pushed my chip to just under 49k in cinebench; without barely touching the sides in terms of tuning.
I’m all about productivity, so my view may not align with those of you who focus purely on gaming, but this has been a fantastic generation for me.
