Do you think it's worth getting 8000 speed memory with an X870 board, I know it's still hit and miss but do you think this will improve with bios updates
Or is it just better to stick with a lower speed of memory
From what I’ve read, many boards won’t support those speeds.
Even when they do, it might only make a minor difference to 1% lows in gaming…
… a difference that is further eradicated by an X3D chip…
… and gaming at 4K.
You can get 6000 CL28 kits that are relatively inexpensive. Will a 8000+ CL38 kit give better FPS / be better value? Not sure.
My take is to go 6000 CL28 for now, maybe I’ll flirt with a higher speed kit later once compatibility has been ironed out with BIOS updates.
