I think the 9950X3D will be a nice upgrade from the 5900x for me, although still not a bad cpu

Why not just build the rest of the PC you want now and drop a 7600 in it for now ? You're not likely to lose much reselling it, and you can wait for the CPU you really want to not be a silly price.I would love to wait for the 9950x3d but my poor i7-4790K is ready to go to silicon heaven at any moment. Got my eye on the 9800x3d but if that disappoints I'll get the 7950x3d. Actually I might buy the 7950x3d now and return it if the 9800x3d turns out to be decent as I can see the 7950x3d price increase if the 9800x3d disappoints.
7800x3d was £329 a few weeks ago. +50% for 9800x3d = £49550%???? the 7800X3D is £440, + 50% = £660.

I did this when I moved to AM5, waiting for the 9800X3D to drop in pricethat makes a lot of sense, I might just do that....unless that FOMO me hits hard
That’s like comparing the price of the 9800 in two years time7800x3d was £329 a few weeks ago. +50% for 9800x3d = £495
So plus 8% performance for an extra £165 at 1080p only
What video is that bug?Welp.... according to this, the CPU that tech jurnoes hated on, the 9700X is 7% faster in games than Intel's latest and greatest.

They couldn't predict the future though could they. They assessed it on its performance compared to the available competition. Unless you're suggesting they're going easy on the 285k?Maybe not but it is good compared to the 285K.

You're reading different reviews to me. Reviewers are very vocally slating it.Its a worse CPU than Ryzen 9000, that CPU got quite a severe kicking from reviewers for not being as good as they deemed it should be.
The way the same people treat the 200 series is 'quiet disappointment', very different, its hypocrisy for sure.

GN's thumbnail is "TRY AGAIN" and a disappointed looking Steve with a subtitle of "Get It Together, Intel" . HUB's "ARROW IN THE KNEE LAKE" and whatever expression Steve is making with the subtitle of "It's A Mess.... Probably A Flop"HUB and GN.
