I'm waiting for pricing and availability of the 9900X3D to build my new system.

i want a 9950x3d to replace my z690 system but lack of proper high end AM5 MBs that have 10Gbe and can use multiple m.2s without limiting my GPU to 8x is holding me back

im guessing we wont see new MBs till zen 6

I was hoping to get 2x Gen 5 m.2s for the x870-e Hero. Unfortunately only one Gen 5 and one Gen 4 is possible without limiting to 8x from my understanding.

Not the greatest move.

I was in a similair situation- ended up getting Asus creator x870e mobo to pair with a 9550x3d.

I have about 6 nvmes and 2 sata drives. Had to go with a asus pcie m2 card.

unless you need gen 5 nvme speed for some specific reason, it hardly makes a difference in most real life scenarios between 4 and 5 gen.

I placed in a query last week to another online store and they replied back yesterday:

We have not yet had full stock allocation and confirmation for the launch.
Typically we do have stock available on launch but we would not be able to confirm until release day.


Kinda silly when 1 day away from launch day..

I don't think they're listed anywhere yet, unsurprising I guess, but it would be nice to see placeholders as a sign of potential stock.

Hoping the OCUK website can stay up - I imagine it will as surely smaller than the 9070 dash last week when I sadly had to go elsewhere.

Seems as expected then really, within margin of a 9800X3D in games, much better when more cores are needed.
Get those 7800/9800X3Ds on the member's market so I can buy one folks!

It doesn’t no. The same as dropping to 8x doesn’t make much of a difference.

It should work though. These boards are advertised to use them, no one should be expected to buy adapters to work around such things is my point.

I'm assuming they're just not as exciting, the 9950X3D is what we expected so the 9900X3D probably will be too, i.e. slower than a 9800X3D in gaming by a bit but mostly faster in multithreaded stuff.
