AMD64 3000+ Running at 1800ghz

AMD64 3000+ Running at 1800MHz

Is this the correct stock speed for this cpu because i have seen some setups on overclockers.com and they are running a 2700ghz with stock fan.... I can only up mine to about 1900ghz :rolleyes:

are you using a devider ? have u tried more voltage? whats your HTT ?

i have got the bios setup at default settings, the clock speed is set to 200 and the X's is set to auto but i think its at 9 because of it running at 1800...

my HTT is at 1005mhz

mem at 402mhz

Set a ram devider (i use 166) and set your HTT at 4x and then increase the HTT. Keep an eye on the cpu temps as you go

how do i set a ram divider is that in the bios, im new to oveclocking so sorry for the n00b question :confused:

It may show as Dimm Frequency or somthing similar in your bios but it should be near by the HTT settings, CPU voltage etc ..

Ghz ??? i think youve set a new clocking record...

stock speed for a venice 3000 is 1800Mhz, i clocked mine to 2.5Ghz on my board. to over clock to those kinds of speeds, you either need to have highly clockable ram, or lower your ram speeds from 200 to 166 or 133, drop the HTT to 600 from 1000 (otherwise known as 3x) increase the voltage to 1.425 and continue to push up the front side bus speed.

My DRAM speed is set at 400, is that what you mean to change?

change that to 200 or / 166 / 133 ?

I can't set it at them settings they are not in the selection list, it does not go any lower than 200 in the dram

is there an expert option somewhere int eh bios??? this option if there, will usually enable every setting to be changed by the user, as some of the settings needed may be blanked out if not??

no i dont see any expert mode, the mobo i have got is the asus A8N-E, there.

Asus boards do speeds after DDR unlike some,

so 200 in bios is DDR 200, not FSB 200

Normal in Asus bios for DDR 400 is 400, not 200
