AMD'ers ... What is the Max CPU Temp I should run at ??

Ok messing with my OC and just wondering what temp are you AMD'ers living with ??

I obviously understand the lower the better but at what point do you say " Ok I'm happy with that"

I am at 59 @ 4.6 Ghz .....

According to AMD the maximum safe temperature is 62C, with socket temp around 10C higher.

62C, I didn't like mine going near 60C and wanted a higher OC so bought a Corsair H110 and now run 5GHZ on an 8350 at around 53C under load

Just noticed I had the core voltage set at 1.48 not sure why so this will be making it run a bit hotter as well... I'm still testing but thanks for the replys.

Try using offset volts so it downclocks the volts when not needed, but then you need to have all the power saving on.

I have an [email protected] which runs no hotter than 45c under normal loads (i.e. not 2 hours of prime) and an [email protected] which is slighty cooler. Both run on H100i's. Temps from HW Monitor, so only as good as that.

ETA, throttling disabled on both, so full speed all the time.

I wouldn't be happy with 60, just because I'm happy with the above temps, nothing more scientific than that I am afraid!

Do amd really run this cool now? :O I just finished building my GF's pc and I've put an 8350 on a 970m pro3, one of the few mATX boards that suppport this chip and I was expecting fairly high temps. At stock after about 45 minutes of prime I hit 45 degrees, I was really shocked by how low it was. My 2700k at 4.8 hits that and its under water.

I am running at 4.4 idle temps are 27 and load temp 48 so will stick with that for now as I am going to remove my cooler and re seat it ..... its been on there for almost 3 years so I'm sure it could do with it
