I'm really hoping RDNA3 supports FSR4 but I can see AMD restricting it to the newer cards to push sales. It's the kind of AMD that exists today...
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
I'd say the AMD that exists today may software lock it, explain why it won't run, new hardware is needed......I'm really hoping RDNA3 supports FSR4 but I can see AMD restricting it to the newer cards to push sales. It's the kind of AMD that exists today...
Thought that had been somewhat slated ?Looking forward to see my PS5 pro in November given the recent praise.
No, so far seems very good, latest digital foundry with hands on was very well received. PSSR especially making huge difference to a lot of games.Thought that had been somewhat slated ?
I was meaning more the price these are supposedly going to be for the actual uplift getting .No, so far seems very good, latest digital foundry with hands on was very well received. PSSR especially making huge difference to a lot of games.
Ah ok, well I guess it depends on what people think is value for the money. For me having an RDNA 4 based card with good upscaling similar in spec to a 7800xt asking with CPU and 2tb storage it's worth it. Essentially the same I spend on a GPU. I get a lot of people are upset but then that's why it's choice. I mean it's only a few hundred more than I paid for a steam deck. Slightly miffed at having to buy a drive for it though but hey ho. Be interested how this upscaling tech matures and if RDNA 4 uses it. I assume it must be similar.I was meaning more the price these are supposedly going to be for the actual uplift getting .
Temper your expectations, at least according to Galah Steve and his conversations with AiB's;That's the golden nugget. Will an 8800xt with twice the RT improvement (over last gen) and decent upscaling suffice!
Warthunder got fsr 3.1 today and raytracing.
Even if you enable ray tracing?A game that doesn't need it if you're on RDNA 3

The biggest benefit to the upscalers I feel is the ability to give TAA the finger and bypass it in most cases. I'd run an upscaler at native ress just for that alone. God I hate TAA.Apparently WT raytracing is nvidia only at the mo, i wondered why my fps didnt dip when i put it on ultra rt Hopefully it will work amd side soon enough tho.
Also about fsr3.1 in that game, i tried it but xess or however u say it, it works better on the shimmering fences i noticed when lookin around ur hanger when having planes selected, compared to fsr3.1. So think id stick with that as a native aa than other ones where u dont upscale for fps but just for the native aa aspect.
