Amending PDF's

Hi,

I have a PDF document, I would like to amend it and then resave it as a PDF...

Its vital I keep the layout....

Please can you advise me which software is best to use...

The PDF was created, in word, and then saved as a PDF...

I normally just try opening it in adobe pro and saving as a word .doc again. Although I have seen the layout get screwed up doing this. I assume you don't have the original word document?
