Amercan talk shows

Letterman used to be on ITV many moons ago and overall I didn't find his show that entertaining. When you see highlight clips of Letterman he comes across as extremely sharp, but when you watch a whole show it's all a bit of a letdown.

Letterman hasn't been funny for maybe, 75 years, Conan can be funny but basically all the kids morning tv style skits are almost exclusively terrible(Conan + Matt Damon pretending to be in love thing was good). Interviews, sometimes decent Letterman says nothing interesting, asks nothing interesting. Because of all the filler crap on the shows the interviews normally amount to 2 mins of promo's for the latest film/show/album they are doing and nothing remotely interesting.

It's nothing more than a platform to promote crap and questioning rarely moves outside those area's.

This basically, they'll all say something funny, make some good jokes, but you're usually looking at 30 seconds of funny in an hour long show.

I used to watch it and like it. It was funny at first but they tend to recycle jokes after a while. Get the feeling they don't really have enough material for a 5 day a week show. Probably best to watch it every so often.

I'm not sure I like any American talk shows - They come across too cheesy for my liking :(

Jonathan Ross is the king of talk shows in my opinion - Many people will disagree :p But he has decent questions and is a good laugh.
