Hi Everyone,

Can anyone with a 980Ti, Titan XP or 1080 tell me how this game performs for them and what settings they currently use. I am currently running one of two 980Ti's in my sli rig for VR and have been struggling with clarity vs fps performance.

I dont mind running into ASW so much but with settingsI am using to imprrove graphical clarity like extra scaling I seem to struggle with framerates dipping below even 45 which is spoiling things at the moment. I also run ultra settings, high settings seemed to make very little difference while scaling has the biggest impact but is needed imo for the extra clarity at distance. So trying to find the right balance/compromise is proving difficult.

How do other people get on with this game with the above mentioned cards and what in game settings do you use whilst maintaining a solid framerate.

I dont think you will get it any better untill they work on vr more David
Your gonna have to just play around and find a happy medium
I run a Fury and have most settings on medium, shadows on low, scaling
i have at 125 percent

Thankyou, that is reassuring to know.

I do find that mods I add in game seem to have more of an impact on performance in VR than they do when run in 2d. Also I think my HDD steam drive may be showing more of an impact now that I am in VR as the slightest hickup is very noticeable.

I went onto ets2 last night and drove a Man TGX truck. The scale of the thing was impressive and it ran super smooth aswell as full vr motion within the truck cab being completely immersive. I find some mods to have there own quirks outside of the vr ideal setting that breaks immersion.

I think the bottom line is I am getting addicted to the immersion of vr and start moping when anything gets in the way of it.lol That said being first stage consumer tech its bloody amazing stuff. I just like to rinse the best performance out of my hardware especially when it costs a great deal nowadays to meet a decent spec.

I wont go back to monitor now, only for desktop stuff and games that dont support vr.
At the mo im selling my eyefinity setup that i used to use for driving.
you wanna try assetto corsa and dirt rally its unreal.
Ets 2 i only have a few mods running, gas stations, and a weather mod, because i drive in the cab all the time thats good enough for me.
