America's Army 2.8.3 Install problem

Hello all,

I've been trying to install the latest version of America's Army (2.8.3) which I downloaded from GamersHell.com. It downloaded in a rar file, I extract the setup to my desktop. It gets to roughly 75% on the install and comes up some error called "CRC Error Americ~1.cab" and cancels the install.

I've downloaded it now about 5 times all from different sites; Filefront, Fileshack, Xfire, some french FTP and from the official Torrent file from the AA website.

Instead of downloading the latest version, I've downloaded an older one (2.7) and tried installing that then patching it to the latest but still I get errors. From googling the error I see it can be due to RAM issues, a dodgy HD or that it can be corrupted whilst downloading as some browsers dont like it when files above 2gb are downloaded. I use the latest version of Firefox.

I'm currently downloading it in parts via FlashGot (download manager). I've downloaded plenty of other files above 2gb and nothings been wrong with them.

Any help's appreciated.

Go to properties on the file and change it to run on compatablity mode for xp and tick the box to run as admin as well.

Try using GetRight as a download manager? You can use the FF extension Flashgot with it to make all downloading a lot easier.
