Americas Army Has changed a bit!

Last time i played this was well over a two years ago and even then the download size was no bigger than a gig, and special forces wasn't to be heard of!

Now we have:

Customisational M4's
AI and CO-OP
Better visuals
Newer interfaces
Updated/new training missions.

And best of all, it's still free. In my opinion very few games of this quality come free (FEAR combat being the latest exception).

Be warned though, file size is 2.5GB (Download )

Anyone else play here?
 
used to play, tried downloading it about a month ago however every link i tried turned out to be dead or faulty :(

May try again in a few weeks once ive broadband setup at home.
 
The link above has the latest version split into like 11 seperate 250mb files, and got 250k speeds easily during the day. :)
 
I tried playing for abit, went through all the training crap too.. well had a mate telling me over TS all the answers :p

might look into it again!
 
Does it work on Linux? (Without Cedega/Wine)....I just wanna install and play...Another word, im feeling a bit lazy :p

tbh, I was always supprised by their OSx Support, not realy the target audiance, (lets not forget this is an ADVERTISING MEDIUM FOR THE US MILLITERY)

anyone got a torrent going for it?

It was great when it first came out, but then got spoiled as popular games do by the amount of cheats that became available for it. They got anything to sort that out with the new version?
 
Do you have to sit that damn Medic Test still?

That was the only reason I didn't play it, i mean, what fun is there to be had from a game which makes you sit tests
 
Yeah, but you can nab the answers from the internet anyway, so you just have to wait to take the test (and remember to save the results!)

ok finished downloading it, and installing it. seems a little clunky to me tbh. and the whole other team look kinda like you realy doesn't help!
