hi
im finding it very hard to get hold of an a500 and ive been looking at this emulator from cloanto . does anybody have any views on this emulator is it any good .

cheers

Just buy an A1200, its a much better machine and there should be plenty to choose from on the auction site.

I always feel that its much better to have the actual machine rather than just emulate it, i think thats especially true in the case of the Amiga.

Sorry, no emulation talk is allowed on here.

As far as im aware, Amiga Forever is perfectly legal and contains properly licensed versions of the Amiga ROM files and OS. Pretty much all the software in the package is Public Domain.

Amiga Forever is completely legal.

I purchased this a while back, it's not a bad little package at all.

I'd recommend it.

I have an a600 sitting in the loft... Oh the memories!

I have a few Amiga's and Atari ST's in the loft, can't help picking them up for a few quid off the car and boot. Trouble is i only check they work and little else really.

On a side note why do people always chime in with stuff like "you can't discuss emulation here" surely we have a police force to deal with this (dons). Do you really think anybody in the whole world cares if someone used an Amiga emulator? It's not like anyones posting links and roms

I had a massive row with the rents the other night about my old A500+ being sat there. I've been waiting until i get a house before I take it with me. Can't wait to get some good old gaming done on it. I've never been so happy with a machine.

Theres usually loads of Amigas on ebay, Can pick up a A600 with games for about £20 - £30

A while back I got a Mint boxed A600 with games for £25

I've had two fantastic bargains off the car and boot a couple of years ago. I promise this is not made up.

Bargain 1 - Amiga 600 Complete and boxed, 1meg expansion, 2 Joysticks, 120 Disks with games on and a 2nd cumana disk drive. All works perfectly. £6

Bargain 2 - Amiga 1200 with Manuals etc, 2nd Drive, Joystick, Squirrel SCSI adaptor and 4x CDROM Drive, Apollo 1240 expansion card, 80mb 2.5" Hard Drive and around 40 boxed original games. £20

There was lots of other stuff with the Amiga 1200 like a bag full of Cover CDROMS, Sound Sampler and a Video Genlock thing!

I still have them to :D
