Amiga magazines

Amiga Power was mine :) Games through and through :)

Disks definatally swayed what mag i would buy.

Ive been using the option on that website to see all the covers, great way of finding out what years i had my Amiga.

Yeah the cover disks were great in those days. Remember getting full games like Bombuzal and Balance of Power as well as loads of freeware/shareware utilities and the like.

My oldest magazine is an 1989 edition of ACE where new games like Top Speed (Taito), Time Solders (SNK), Outrun, and Super Hang On are all reviewed.

Ah the good old days. Amiga Format was my fav too, before I switched to the Atari ST for developing on. Still got loads of Amiga, ACE and Amstrad Action magazines that I am not parting with :p

I liked Zero, which was Amiga, PC and ST although they used to get stick because they mainly covered the Amiga (which is what I had then) That was a time when cover-disks were relevant. They even managed to make a tri-format cover disk!. Then one day they decided to make Zero into a cartoon magazine, I remember me and my mate buying the latest issue. It was terrible. I think they lasted 4 months after that. There is a website with every issue scanned, somewhere.

EDIT: the Zero magazines are on the same site you linked and I was right, the last 4 issues were the cartoon version.
