Amiga recapping - where to go...

So bpught ROM, 1mb expansion and CF hdd setup for my A600.....install it all, turn on....grey screen and stuck on caps lock stuck on. Normally the sign of capacitor failure :(

Does anyone do or know someone who does recapping on Amiga stuff

So chap who has done my recap has done it successfully and cleaned the board up but it he thinks that I have RAM issues, he doesn't have all his equipment to test locally atm as he is in the process of moving to Greece and his hot air rework kit and scope have already gone :(

Getting intermittent green screen boots and delayed boot ups, which points directly towards a bad RAM chip :(

I suppose with what I have paid and even if i pay another £40 for RAM repairs i then have a fully refurbed A600 for MUCH less than I can get one on eBay these day, especially considering I paid £20 for the system fully boxed in the first place

Girl at works parents were moving and so having a clear out from loft. Offered it me for £20 before she lobbed it in skip as knew I liked old games, must have been 4 years ago now. It worked back then but was a bit temperamental, spent a year or 2 in the loft when my kids were born and we converted spare room to nursery and finally got put in an accessible cupboard after moving house nearly 2 years back, finally got round to looking into restoring it this summer, so in fairness the old girl deserves some TLC

Been talking to steve from amigapassion.com and I am set up to send him the system at the end of this coming week for a full hardware / software assessment and then once fault confirmed whatever repairs are required.

Hoping to be playing pinball fantasies again soon :D
