Amnesia: The Dark Descent PCVR mod

Full VR conversion of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, including tracked hands and hand interaction.

Looking forward to playing this and noping out of the headset.
Looks like it'll be very good in VR  , surprised i've never heard of it.

Sorry, but **** that, **** that and **** that.
Sorry for my language, but **** that.

Just what everyone wants, a jump scare game when you are stood up and with a full face headset on.
As soon as it comes out, it'll be a top viewed game on twitch for a week or 2.

See Alien Isolation for details. The only VR game so far that I 'nope' out of frequently.

However you can turn off the monsters in this remake, so you can avoid some of the scares.

I tried this briefly and it feels like a game designed for VR, though it doesn't have a distant grab mechanic so you have to crouch to pick up some items.

It does however have some very nauseous screen effects which fortunately you can turn off.

Very impressive though for a fan remake.

I had this game years ago and played some of it but probably got too scared to continue. I'd love to play it now in VR but alas, I don't have PCVR. This guy likes it and can't stop saying 'insane'.

The guy who made this says the Quest isn't powerful enough to do a standalone version and he's not open sourcing it. However I think the Quest 3 should be perfectly capable of doing this game. It's not exactly state of the art graphics.

My daughter got freaked out by Robo Recall when the robots all turn around in the intro and move to grab you. Lots of things in VR can scare you but these psychological slow burn horrors are the most intense.
