I may possibly buy a Wii next year, but I was wondering something:

To the people who have got theirs, how much space do you need to play the game. I assume that nearly all of Zelda you can sit down for. But what about WiiSports and WiiPlay? I ask because my room isn't the biggest for me to jump and fly around in! :D

My mates setup has about a meter and a half of space from tv face to wall behind him. And about 2 meters width ways. Easily enough space!

about half an hour ago my mate was telling me that his brother back home has a large living room, but was still finding it hard to play without colliding with things or the other player, so they just resorted to playing the games the 'cheat' way where you don't jump about but just do rubbish movements that end in the same result.

absolute rubbish!

I have about 6 foot either side and front of me, back about 3 foot. Plenty of room.

Our living room isn't very big at all. We're about a metre away from the TV, and about 1/4 meter to 1/2 a metre away from one another. Of course, it's only really tennis and baseball that you need much space for.

You dont need any space at all, obviously the more room you have the more you can actually get up and move about

But remember if you wanna just sit in your seat and flick your wrists or make small movements rather than swing your arms about you can

I do think to get the most out of it though you need say a nice bit of space, maybe a meter in all directions just to be able to move your arms and swing

You could probably get away with single player anything in a tiny room but multiplayer is going to be a problem.. unless you don't mind whacking each other in the face.

Mind? It could be fun! Interactive Wii-boxing :p

well really you dont need to swing that much, if you actually try it just sitting down flicking your wrists you can play tennis fine.
